The pictures of the upcoming 2012 Mercedes CLS Class were released into the web recently. The 2012 CLS class will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show which is going to be held this October. In this release of pictures, we get to see all the exterior design features and we can see that it has been given more muscles than its predecessor.
The new CLS is based on Mercedes’ shooting break concept that was showcased earlier this year. Mercedes retained its grille design that is seen in all the new Mercedes. The new Mercedes will be pitted against the Porsche Panamera, Maserati Quattroporte and the Audi A7 Sportback.
Powering the 2011 Mercedes CLS class that will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show will be a 3.5L V6 producing 306 bhp and a 4.7L bi turbocharged V8 that produces 429bhp. Mercedes will also include its 4Matic all wheel drive system for its high torque models.
The Mercedes retains its classic coupe styling just like its predecessor but adds in more for the people to die for. Its extra long hood, frameless side windows and sweeping back roof design makes it look gorgeous. The front features a very muscular design while the rear shoots a very elegant classy look. This time the CLS looks more of a sedan than a hatchback.
Elegance as we know it in a car is defined by the 2011 Mercedes CLS class. Most of the interior design is handcrafted to perfection like the stitched seat covers and dashboard done with high quality padding. Premium leather is used and preshrunk to retain its shape even in direct exposure. A commanding steering wheel, cockpit like dashboard and the Mercedes center console which is bound with high quality materials makes one need this more than their own mother.
The full LED headlamps will seem like heaven in the night time. The CLS is said to come in class leading features and technology. The engines and power train will also be confirmed nearer to the launch in 2012. But more of it will be known only after the official debut of the Mercedes.
