The Volkswagen dealers in the UK are now accepting orders from consumers for the new 2011 Volkswagen Touran. The Volkswagen Touran is a minivan which is built on an extended Golf platform. Volkswagen start the first deliveries on the 22nd of September.

The 2011 VW Touran was unveiled at the Leipzig Motor show that was help in April. The noticeable changes are the frontal design and restyled rear. The Touran takes inspirations from the 2010 Volkswagen Polo, new VW Polo and the new Touareg. Ofcourse, since they were built with the same design theme.
The new Touran comes with fresh styling inside and out. It also comes with more efficient petrol and diesel engines and addition of a lot of new features. The Touran MPV will be sold with a price tag of 17,585 Euros on the road. VW expect to sell a lot of the Touran in the Europe where the market for MPVs are vast.
Under the hood of the VW Touran will lie a range of highly efficient yet performance giving engines while giving low emissions. Among the petrol engines, the entry level 1.2L TSI delivers 105 PS while the 1.4L TSI giving a more impressive 140 PS.
On the diesel side, 2 engines with 4 different power outputs are available. The 1.6L TDI engine shoots out either a 90 PS or 105 PS while the 2.0L TDI engine showers 140 PS or 170 PS of power. The 1.2L petrol (105 PS) and 1.6L diesel (105 PS) can be taken in BlueMotion Technology rim and the 1.6L Diesel is expected to give fuel economy of 61.4 mpg, which is VWs most efficient model ever produced.
The VW Touran comes with a range of new features, one of them being a push to work ParkAssist system. Alloy wheels, ABS, 6 airbags and an option of having only 5 seats are on the list of options. The Volkswagen Touran likes its predecessor is expected to perform well and sell as great as well.
