Junior – The New Smal Car from Opel

Junior – The New Smal Car from Opel. Recent news through sources had said that Opel/Vauxhall, GMs brand of automobiles had announced the development of a new car that is smaller than its Corsa. Naturally, people expected a low cost car, but the latest news confirms that Opel/Vauxhall will be developing an all new car which will compete against Fiats small car, the Fiat 500. This going to be funky model is codenamed “junior“.

We have seen opels capability to design impressive cars with the Insigna and the new Corsa. Opels designs have improved considerably over the years. So we can expect a stunner for the Opel Junior. It will be interesting to see the developments as Opel has always been good with the small cars. The fiat 500 is lonely in its segment (wrt price i.e), the opel would give those consumers a choice who would really love a small city car.

Opels sales and marketing head said that they will be targeting this new car to the young and to those who require high tech needs and said that this car will be an “iPOD on wheels”.He has also included that the new Opel will be included with the latest infotainment, attracting and tempting the young consumers. Opel will also be making an electric version of the car.

The new Opel will be considering fuel economy as a major issue and will be making the car eco friendly, so that people wont mind paying a little extra for the green car tag. Promising a feature fun filled car is one thing and keeping the price within limits is another. Opels cars have been really good and we hope to see another good one soon. The production of the Junior will begin in 2013 in Germany.
