Paris Motor Show Opens its Doors to the Public

The Paris Motor Show opens its doors to the public this Saturday in Paris and thousands of visitors are expected to press for two weeks to test electric cars in the spotlight this year and, as always, admire the displacements of luxury brands.

In Europe, manufacturers expect this year, down 7% sales aftermath of the end or reduction of scrapping. But alongside the car sales continue to grow at high speed in China, now the world’s largest market, where foreign manufacturers are widely present. Tougher regulations on emissions, environmental concerns and uncertainty about oil prices weigh now permanently on the car.

So manufacturers continue to invest heavily in new technologies to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. French brands are the front line. Renault will present its range of electric cars and PSA’s flagship models like the Peugeot 508 sedan and the new Citroen C4 during the high mass of the car. In total, more than 300 brands from 20 countries are expected at the show, which opens to the public until 17 October.
