Samsung Galaxy Tab. Samsung has just demonstrated its tablet , called Galaxy Tab The new device , long awaited , is to the occasion and would seem able to compete with the Cupertino tablet (like the Galaxy against the iPhone 4). The Samsung features a Galaxy Tab 7” display (versus 9.7 ” by iPad ) 16:9 and, against expectations , but not a SuperAmoled LCD with 1024×600 resolution. The heart of this object is a SoC Cortex A8 1 GHz from ARM and Ram is 512 mb. The tablet also has the GPS light sensor , accelerometer and gyroscope. Note the presence of two camera and one on the back of together with 3-megapixel LED flash and autofocus, able to record HD movies at 720p and a 1.3- megapixel front Useful for video conferencing. The Galaxy is available with a Tab 16 or 32 GB of memory expandable with a microSD slot memories that will support up to 32 GB. Presented Wi-Fi connectivity , Bluetooth , GSM / GPRS / EDGE 2.5 and 3G. The weight is worthy of note : only 380 grams . Everything is animated by Andorid OS 2.2.
The Korean company seems able to give a hard time with the engineers in Cupertino , which have seen their device unchallenged until now. Soon it will be more and more his enemies (he was also presented the tablet from Toshiba) . The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available in mid-September , The price would be around 699 euros for the version 16 GB.
