The Search Continues to Locate Lost South Korean Ship’s Crew

The military drivers searched thoroughly, but they could not find the fellow ship members and 46 marines, which went missing when a South Korean ship exploded near the border of North Korea.

The cause of the explosion was not very clear, but the North Koreans were not to be blamed. The families of the victims raised their voice and were not able to locate their members.

The divers tried their level best to reach the spot but all in vain, Lee Ki-sik of the Joint Chiefs reported to the judiciary. The huge explosion tore apart Cheonan, shut down all the engines and made the ship to sink over three hours.

Shin Eun-chong, 24, one of the survivors told that he heard the noise of explosion which tore the ship into two parts. The vessel started to go down and the glasses fell upon him.

South Korea’s Baengnyeong Island was searched by the military planes and boats where 1,200 ton Cheonan was on a routine patrol.

Out of 104 only 58 of them were rescued and some had major injuries and burns. Kim Jin-ho, a seaman, witnessed the tragedy heard a tremendous scream and every crew member were shouting “Save me”.

However, North Koreans had no evidence against them, so that it could be detected that they had committed the crime. The North Korean military had warned about some mighty blows against South Korea and USA, who were threatening the integrity. The authorities assumed many of the crew was trapped inside.
